Parivartana Yoga

The style of yoga taught at The Yoga Place is Parivartana Yoga. This is a dynamic, flowing form of yoga.

It combines pranayama (breath), asana (held postures), and pratyahara (mind-focus) in a continuous graceful flow. This sequence of breath and postures helps to keep a constant mindful awareness, the practice becoming meditation as well as exercise.

The yoga is challenging and rewarding both physically and emotionally.

Regular practice:

  • increases flexibility
  • develops core strength
  • focuses the mind and improves concentration
  • rejuvenates mind and body
  • calms and relaxes
  • cultivates and circulates Prana (the vital life-energies)
  • enables us to connect with our innate inner wisdom
